Lokattan

If only I had known about the option to change your username earlier, I would have gotten rid of the Killerkarnickel a long time ago. Alas, I didn't until changed her's recently. I've really grown out of my old name, especially the bunny-part. ^^

So, here's me with my new nick, Lokattan. It's Swedish for a female lynx and I actually feel the need to explain this particular nick a bit further, considering that it's the first one with an actual meaning. ^^
Until a bit over a year ago, I had some sort "experience". (Nope, no drugs. My mind seems pretty good at coming up with weird stuff all by itself...) It was a bit like daydreaming but more realistic. Way more realistic. And only partly in my control. Anyhow, in that callitwhatever, I found myself sitting high up in a tree at some point, looking down at my own... paws. Yeah. They were bigger than that of a cat or wildcat, so there was only one feline option left: I was a lynx.
Ever since, I feel a particularly close relationship to these animals, probably because it is pretty easy to identify with them. At least if you like climbing trees in wild forests. ^^ It's hard to explain. Something semi-spiritual, I suppose, although I don't even believe in any of that stuff.
But, yeah. That's where the new username came from. ^^

As my faithful watchers probably noticed, I uploaded a lot yesterday. Somehow my enthusiasm for photography suddenly came back and I am motivated and curious to learn and try out new stuff. So I thought I'd celebrate with a 12-months-premium. (I've always said, this is the only website I'm ever going to pay for. ^^)

I joined new groups, started working with GIMP again and I also have a new lens. Yay.
